어떤 건 읽어야 하고, 어떤 건 들어야 합니다
Korean splits cleanly into things that reward reading and things that only make sense in motion. Structure reads well: why Korean counts in groups of four, why a syllable is a square, why one stranger is 이모 and another is 아주머니. You can sit with those on a page and turn them over. Pronunciation does not work that way. No amount of prose will teach you where 기린 그림 catches in your mouth, or how a sentence bends when a final consonant meets the vowel after it.
So the channels are not a promotional mirror of this site. They carry the half that needs sound and motion, and the articles carry the half that needs a diagram and a second read. The pairings below are the topics where both halves already exist — start on whichever side matches how you learn, then cross over.
그래서 채널은 이 사이트의 홍보용 거울이 아닙니다. 소리와 움직임이 필요한 절반을 채널이 맡고, 도식과 두 번째 읽기가 필요한 절반을 글이 맡습니다. 아래 목록은 양쪽이 모두 준비된 주제들입니다. 자신에게 맞는 쪽에서 시작해 반대편으로 건너가 보세요.
- Instagram@uncle_hangulShort visual clips built around one word or one shape at a time. Typography experiments, loanword breakdowns, and the small cultural details that never fit into a full article.단어 하나, 형태 하나를 중심으로 만든 짧은 영상입니다. 타이포그래피 실험, 외래어 분해, 그리고 긴 글에는 담기 어려운 작은 문화적 디테일을 올립니다.
- YouTube@unclehangulLong-form lessons where a single idea gets the full walkthrough, plus Shorts for pronunciation you need to hear rather than read. This is where the audio side of the articles lives.하나의 개념을 처음부터 끝까지 풀어 가는 롱폼 강의와, 읽기보다 들어야 하는 발음을 다루는 Shorts를 올립니다. 글의 소리 쪽 절반이 여기 있습니다.

Reading big numbers in Korean
The video walks through 910,213,090 out loud so you can hear where the pauses land. The article explains why those pauses sit in different places than they would in English — Korean groups digits in fours, not threes.
영상에서는 910,213,090을 소리 내어 읽으며 끊어지는 지점을 들려줍니다. 글에서는 그 지점이 영어와 다른 이유를 다룹니다. 한국어는 세 자리가 아니라 네 자리로 끊기 때문입니다.
Graphic Blueprint of Sound
The reels show single loanwords resolving into syllable blocks, one frame at a time. Read the article first if you want the reasoning, or watch first and let the article confirm the pattern you already noticed.
릴스는 외래어 하나가 음절 블록으로 풀리는 과정을 한 프레임씩 보여 줍니다. 원리부터 알고 싶다면 글을 먼저, 감으로 먼저 잡고 싶다면 영상을 먼저 보세요.
Hangul keyboard UX
Watching someone type Korean is the fastest way to understand that letters do not sit in a line — they fall into a square and lock. Pair the clips with Jamo Builder and assemble the same blocks yourself.
한국어 타이핑을 보는 것만으로도 글자가 줄이 아니라 칸에 떨어져 맞물린다는 걸 알게 됩니다. 클립을 본 뒤 Jamo Builder에서 같은 블록을 직접 쌓아 보세요.
Korean Tongue Twisters: Giraffe Pictures
기린 그림 is short enough to attempt on the first try and awkward enough to expose exactly which consonant your mouth is not ready for. Hear it at speed in the Short, then read the breakdown of why it trips people.
기린 그림은 한 번에 따라 할 만큼 짧으면서도, 입이 아직 준비되지 않은 자음이 어디인지 정확히 드러냅니다. Shorts로 속도를 듣고, 글에서 왜 걸리는지 분해해 보세요.
